Today marks 53 years since you left this world Grandad. The world has changed so much in that time and while I know that you probably never imagined having a grandchild I hope that you would approve of the life choices I am making. I’m going through a big change at the moment and I know it is making some of the family upset, I hope that you would be able to understand my reasons for making this change and know that I have thought about you and your legacy during this decision. You will always be a part of my heritage that I am proud of, even though we never got the chance to meet. I hope wherever you are, you are at peace x
